Technical Specifications & Limits

  • Maximum file size: Up to 50 MB.
  • Maximum output dimensions: Up to 10,000 × 10,000 pixels.
  • Upscaling warning: Substantial upscaling beyond natural resolution will soften details.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

⚠Changing width changes height automatically.

This occurs because Aspect Ratio Lock is enabled to prevent distortion. Click the lock icon to adjust width and height independently.

⚠Padded borders appear when using Contain mode.

Contain fits the entire image inside the bounding box without cropping. If you want the image to fill the canvas completely, choose 'Cover' mode.

🔒Privacy & Security Guarantee

All image processing for Image Resizer executes 100% locally inside your web browser sandbox. Your images and personal media are never uploaded to any remote server or stored in the cloud. Confidentiality is preserved for creative assets, personal portraits, and proprietary corporate media.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Contain and Cover fit modes?

Contain scales the entire image to fit inside the dimensions without cropping (adding background padding if aspect ratios differ). Cover fills the entire canvas by cropping excess edges.

Can I resize an image to Instagram Story dimensions?

Yes, select the 'Story / Reels / TikTok (9:16)' preset (1080 × 1920 px) in the Presets dropdown.

Does resizing alter the original file on my computer?

No. Operations are non-destructive and generate a new downloadable file.
